Generation 1, Part 3

*Ring, Ring. Ring, Ring*
Martin awoke, around 8AM. He smelled like raw garbage and his head was killing him. He rose dragging himself up on an old garbage can on the side of the road he had been sleeping next to.

Bugs were crawling around him like he was some sort of tasty treat, until he kicked at them, signaling them to leave.
He picked is still ringing phone from his pocket, "Well theres a name I didn't expect to see!". The caller ID said Brad Hillington, one of his old friends from Sunset Valley. His parents were also successful in business so his parents where friends with Martins. With his parents support, he had gone into the music career and made a name for himself as one of the "Northern Kings"
Brad had heard about Martin moving and starting his dream of becoming an actor and wanted to know how he was getting on: "Are you doing well?" Brad asked
"Never Better!"
"Where are you now"
"I may sleeping behind a dumpster outside of a bar, or I could be in a million simoleon mansion. Take your pick!"
"Wow. I wouldn't have thought you could make it that big in a week!"
"No. I am behind the dumpster."
"I know. I'd thought you'd only have made it to the road so far. Last night you must have eaten like a king! Half-eaten noodles and off milk?"
"Look, Brad, what do you want?"

They chatted a while about how well they where making it in life, Brad was in SimNations fourth most popular band, while Martin was a low budget movie extra.
Brad asked "So. How are you spending you're leisure day?"
"I was hoping to get back to sleep."
"Listen Mart, I have a friend who owns a bar downtown. I ca..."
"Am I you're least successful friend?"
"Yes. Anyway, His place is called Euge's Place, you could probably spend it their. If you say your my friend you might even get a discount."
"Its not the fanciest place, but he needs customers."
"Ok, Ill go"
"Excellent, now i've got to get back to work, seeya Mart!"
Martin put the phone down and spoke to himself. "Great, I guess I have to get ready!"
 "More walking..."
He arrived at his home to get himself a bit more suited to going out.

"Nearly ready, but I need something more."
 "There!"
He arrived at Euge's place, this was it. Where he would spend his first Leisure Day away from home.
He passed to people looking at the opening times posted onto the wall of the entrance. Both of which didn't suggest young club like he had hoped, and none of them where famous. Well, the woman was a minor celebrity who did documentary voice overs but those days where long since over.
This was not a place Martin felt comfortable... Relaxed, but not comfortable.
The actual bar looked a little better, it was a mix of popular things and classic things that barely mixed.
The place was also deserted, might have well spent Leisure Day alone.
The radio was playing the local radio station which played music that never interested him, like the songs of the "Northern Kings"
The bartender was a young girl who obviously had little experience in what she was doing, but kept optimistic throughout.
Martin ordered the cheapest thing on the menu and stated "I'm a friend of Brad Hillington"
The girl sighed and said "Great, my first customer in 3 hours and he's the one with the discount. Mr. Euge is going to kill me!"
She threw the bottles around unimpressively to try and give a little bit of a 'show', this ended up in a whole bottle being dropped onto the grey carpet and crashing with an ear piercing noise.
Eventually the drink was made, and it tasted very... artificial... and just absolute horridness.
"Might as well make the most of this..." he said glumly.
He made the most of the small little joint. He played arcade games, danced and threw darts alone, having a rather pleasant time. Slowly it dragged on until it was time to leave.
On his way out he had noticed the two people who where outside had at sometime made it in. This was the peak of this bar at Leisure Day.
Before turning and heading away, he had one more thing to do.
What would a leisure day be without fireworks

As he stared up at the sky and saw the man made explosion of light which he had caused he looked at himself through the glass of the bar door, he realised what all of the days events had been leading up to, his life was changed from this one very moment which changed time itself...
He muttered to himself "Today was a huge waste of time" and walked off home.
"Last time I listen to Brad!"
